Under the guidance of the Taoyuan City Government, National Yang-Ming University and the Farglory Free Trade Port Zone signed a letter of intent at the city government today to establish an international medical center in the future free trade port zone. Mayor Zheng-Wen-Can also mentioned that the COVID-19 pandemic is serious and in the future, the center will shoulder the important task of combining “border quarantine” with “local quarantine” with fast and accurate inspection services to provide various quarantine services for domestic and foreign passengers.

Steve Hsu-Sung Kuo, President of Yang-Ming University, stated that the international medical center is planned to be a 10-story building, with a total floor area of more than 13,000 square meters. It will focus on providing high-end medical services for domestic and foreign individuals and platform for promoting research and development of Taiwan’s medical and biotechnology industry. The center will help promote Taiwan’s high standards of medical care, while at the same time during, transform a front-line prevention center in the case of a global pandemic.
